...now comes the night of Enitharmons joy!... go!tell the human race that Womans love is sin! that an eternal life awaits the worms of sixty winters in an allegorical abode where existence hath never come: forbid all joy, and from her childhood shall the little female spread nets in every secret path. my weary eyelids draw towards the evening, my bliss is yet but new... William Blake, Europe.

a very specific description, at first this piece was to be a testament of beauty... an interpretation of love... unfortunately i could not get the image of hel out of my mind, i kept seeing a beauty some how associated with decay and death... it was all a purge of emotions, the last musings on a dying relation ship. and it was done during the winter of 08, at night with out heat. this shot is a detail, the piece is 4 ftx 4ft painted in oils on a sheet of ply wood the previous owners of the house had left behind. it was a sad house. im not satisfied with the end result, but i simply stopped working on it one day. i cant put myself in the place i was when i painted it again.
